1. Purpose
This policy protects certificate users by ensuring published certification status reflects the client system and certification conditions.
It applies to suspension, withdrawal, scope reduction, restoration and client-requested cancellation.
2. Grounds for suspension
Suspension may be applied when the certified management system persistently or seriously fails to meet requirements, surveillance is refused or delayed, major nonconformities are not closed, fees or contractual obligations remain unresolved, or certification is misused.
Suspension conditions, effective date and restoration requirements are communicated to the client.
3. Withdrawal and scope reduction
Withdrawal follows when restoration requirements are not met, the client requests cancellation, the organisation ceases relevant activity, or certification rules require termination.
Scope reduction may be applied when parts of the certified scope no longer meet requirements or are no longer operated.
4. Public status and client obligations
During suspension or after withdrawal, the client must stop misleading references to certification and must not imply active certification for affected scopes.
QSI may update public status records and notify relevant parties where required by certification rules, accreditation obligations or law.
